iCloud - July 11th 2016, 04:03 PM

Does anybody know how to store stuff on iCloud or do the iPhone's do it automatically? I haven't had the phone a week yet so still struggling with it.

You have to go into icloud settings on your phone and choose what you want to sync. You only get around 5gb of storage for free, however, so be careful with what you put on. Don't rely on it as your only source of backing up.

If I remember correctly, in order to transfer pictures to a windows computer you need to actually open something and physically transfer the images. As far as backing up your entire phone, you DO need itunes in order to do that. If you don't plan on using iCloud for much then saving your backups there shouldn't be an issue, as long as you only keep the most recent one.

I don't know (or can't remember, rather) if the iPhone does this, but when I connect my Android to the computer via USB, it gives me the option to use as a media device. That way, I can download the pictures onto my computer. As for the files, I am not sure. I used to just email things to myself. On Android,I don't have to worry about that because I can save directly to Google Drive.
