Nintendo DS dodgy game? - August 4th 2017, 09:47 PM

i was wondering if anyone here has had a dodgy game issue with their nintendo ds or a related console? by this I mean you play a particular game and after so long of playing, it doesn't work anymore, although it lets you start a new game with no trouble. At least it does until a certain point - with me it happened twice after about 15 hours of playing time, so maybe there is some sort of technical issue which only allows the game to run for so long?

What game are you trying to play?

I think something similar happened to us once?

We had a copy of Drawn to Life 2 that for some reason would freeze every time we got to a certain point. I'm not sure if it was time or location based? It was after awhile of playing though. We tried resetting a couple times with the same results.

We sold it though, so we don't have it any more.

My boyfriend wants to know if it's every game you play or just one game. He has never had that issue but he says if it's every game or a lot of games you'd want to have the console looked at.

If it's just one game then it might be that the contact points of the particular game are worn down and you'd likely have to get a new game.

That being said, he has never had that issue so you might be better off if you called a store that sells the consoles/games and explain things to them. If it's an issue they run into frequently they might be able to help you determine what is causing it.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

If it's only the one game then it is likely something with that game. If you just bought the game then you might be able to call the store you bought it from and discuss it with them. If you've had the game for quite some time then it just might have been used so much or something that whatever allows the games to work properly has been messed up such as the contact points being worn down.

usually i would say 2 billion people can't be wong (i got it from china) well on ebay but they sent it from china, but it was the first time i played it after i got it.
see, the person/companys' feedback looked fine at 99.6 positive, but since they have a lot of feedback, they can still have a good amount of negative. I couldn't find any about that, but there were still some similiar complaints of dodgy stuff

I always buy games from the original seller (ie, if I wanted to buy Super Mario Brothers, I'd buy it from Nintendo and nobody else) because then I'm more likely to not get a glitchy game.

Do you know anyone else who has bough the game from this seller? If so, could you ask them if they are having the same issues? If I absolutely had to buy a Pokemon game from a seller, I'd find someone in Japan because, I believe, Pokemon originated in Japan. Just my two cents.
