DNS error? - May 12th 2018, 01:23 PM

For the last few months, my internet has been slower and will randomly stop loading websites. This happens on all browsers on all devices at home. Sometimes I would run the diagnostic tool and it wouldn't be able to find a problem (doesn't help that the router seems fine and the connection to the network is also fine). Recently, when I have run the diagnostic test it comes up with something like 'your computer is trying to connect to an incorrect DNS' or something like that. Turning the router on and off again usually helps but the problem is there on a daily basis. We had bought a new router back last year and was fine for a while, better even than our old router, but now we have this problem.

Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve this?

While I don’t have any concrete advice I wonder if someone can contact the internet provider? Maybe they can reset things remotely or send a tech out? We have done that with our Internet a few times and a lot with the TV. They may be able to give ideas on where the issue is.
