Random ads on home screen. - October 5th 2018, 07:24 AM

I recently got an android ASUS and its fine and dandy, expect for one thing:
I get random ads. I'm okay with websites and my games having ads, but I'm talking about watching YouTube, and a pop up ad comes up. When I open my texting app, a pop up ad. When I open apps that don't get ads, a pop up ad. Even if its as simple as unlocking my phone, poo up ad. I did two factory resets and they temporarily work until I decide to delete a couple apps my phone gave me like Wal-Mart or facebook. I've read reviews of all the apps I download and no on warns of this glitch. But its not even app ads. It's mostly buy this or ATTENTION SENIOR CITIZENS (I'm 17) or something. They're all ads by Google. I do not know what's up with my phone. Its super annoying, especially when I try to quickly contact my parents. What if I need to call 911? Will I have to suffer an ad that may be difficult to get rid of and whoop, emergency is worse. Like really?

Does anyone else have this problem?????

Hey,
So there are two things I can think of that you can do. One is reset it again and only add the apps you use daily...So don't add a lot of game apps, or like fancy background apps(that is what causes some of my ads, but I'm fine with it since it isn't like the ads you get), if that still doesn't solve the problem I would go to the place you got the phone and ask them about it, they will know more on what to do and how to help you.

I hope this helped.
Your Friend,
Frankie<3

I had a cleaner app installed when I posted this but the ads were worse. I deleted it and most ads stopped but I still get a few. Think Ill find a city is scanner first then try a factory rest if nothing works.

I don't know why or how, but after the downloading of the virus scanner, the ads didn't stop for another week. It must have been processing the issue and it took a while but the ads have stopped
