Advertisements. - November 28th 2018, 09:02 PM

I keep getting these "sponsored ads" on my Facebook feed when I scroll. I don't understand how I am getting them when I have AdBlocker enabled. I know Twitter and Instagram have them, but I never see them on my computer unless I use the apps on my phone. I see these "sponsored ads" when I use Facebook on my computer. Is there any way to stop seeing them altogether?

If you click on the drop down arrow on Facebook, then 'Settings' and 'Ads', you can update Your ad preferences from there. Perhaps that might help?

I have the same problem. They say they are sponsored (quizzes. You know those quiz sites.) but if you click them, they're really trying to scam you.

Is there a way to get rid of all of them forever without having to do the same thing for each new ad that shows up?
Why is AdBlock Plus not blocking these ads?

What browser are you using? AdBlock works for me in Chrome.

I've just tried it in Firefox as well and it's okay. Are you using the latest version of AdBlock Plus? It might be worth uninstalling it and re-installing it to see if that helps. Other than that, I don't know what else to suggest, sorry.

How do you upgrade AdBlock Plus?

In Firefox, go to 'Tools', 'Add-ons', then click on 'Remove' beside Adblock Plus. Then you can go back to the Adblock Plus website to install it again.
