Monthly game night questions -
February 14th 2019, 12:21 AM
Hello all,
I am still working on trying to implement a game night some time this year or some time next year. I am not a big gamer but I think they can be fun to play and all that.
One of the things I was wondering about is if people would be open to creating steam account (or you might already have them) and playing games there. I know the games on steam aren't free but I know that they have a lot of games for cheap they have some cheaper than $5.
Steam also has the ability for people to do chats, group chats etc. I believe you have to be friends on steam for all of that but I can talk to my boyfriend.
I can also talk to my boyfriend to see if there are any cheaper games that allow multiplayer etc.
There are more expensive games that are multiplayer but games can get expensive and I don't want people to feel they have to pay a ton to participate.
My main question is, would you all be interested in doing something like this via steam. My boyfriends a gamer so I could have him help me find game options.
Also, what's the limit you'd be willing to pay for a game that we could play.

I would definitely be up for this! I already have an account on Steam and I know there are a few other THers who do as well.
In terms of recommendations, I'd strongly suggest Golf With Your Friends. It's relatively inexpensive (I think about $5 US at the moment), largely due to being early access, and with all the levels and customisation options there's plenty of ways to keep it entertaining. Up to 12 people can play and there's in-game text chat so you can talk as well, and the early access glitches usually make the whole thing more amusing.
