TV + Xbox 360 Problem - May 31st 2009, 07:36 AM

I know that I have better chances on an Xbox 360 forum, but I just want to try here first to see if anyone knows before I start posting elsewhere.

I have a regular Xbox 360 and a composite Xbox 360 HDTV cord whatever you call it that came with the 360.

I have a Trutech TV that isn't a standard television (my best friend gave me it), and I've noticed that I don't get much color out of it. It's HD quality, but it mostly shows shades of green.

For instance: When I played Forza 2 yesterday, I tried to paint my car a different color...and it was like 1/3 white black and purple, and the rest was shades of green. Where the fuck is the red and all the other colors, y' know?

I've tried looking at my TV settings, and I don't see anything wrong with them. The contrast is normal, everything is normal. I looked at my Xbox 360 settings, and I can't seem to find a problem with that either.

Anyone know what to do?

Does it show those shades of green on regular TV as well? If it does, then check the settings again and see if you can play around with the color settings.

I'd sing you a song, but I'm feeling quite off
in my heart; it's occupied,

and now's not the time.

Make sure all the wires are in the right ports and are properly plugged in.
Most TV's usually have an engineer's menu, which lets you mess with more advanced settings - find the make/model of your tv and search for the engineer's menu code. It's usually a keypattern that triggers it.

The red cord wasn't plugged in the right spot. There's different slots for red cords and someone told me the right one to plug it in, so I can see all the colors now.

Thanks for the help

Yay! Since the problem has been resolved, I shall close this now.
