i think my phones dying! :[ - June 6th 2009, 11:52 PM

i have a blackberry pearl and i have soooo many problems with it.

it keeps freezing and turning itself off. the blackberry messenger just stopped working today. and a few weeks ago i tried to send an email and its said.. "email is not configured" when i've been sending emails fine for the past 6 months. when i try and take a photo it takes the photo but then freezes.. every time. the video camera doesn't work half the time also. the navigator ball thing, whatever you call it.. well the light has broken on it. also, my screen will be all bright and lovely, then suddenly will go really dim so i can hardly see the screen, then five minutes later it comes back bright again. and with my facebook app, it won't let me upload pictures anymore.. but idk if thats a problem with facebook or with my phone.

urgh. yeah so basically.. any idea on how to fix any of these problems? or advice on what i should do. i still have 6 months of my contract left.. i've taken it back to vodafone and they fix the problems [well most of them at least] temporarily but then it just breaks again with more problems.. i called vodafone today AND THEY HUNG UP ON ME! urghhhh. bastards.

also.. am i allowed to terminate my contract with them or do i have to wait til the end of the 12 months?

i'm not happy because i'm paying 35 a month for a piece of shit that doesn't even work.. it's draining my bank account and i'm not getting my moneys worth.

i've decided that after i get out of this contract i'm getting a new phone.. not another blackberry. any ideas on what i should get?!.

thanks guys. eek.. i guess this has kinda turned into a rant haha.

..and our dreams will break the boundaries of our fears..

Jeez. Never heard of a Blackberry messing up so much. Welcome to planned obsolescence I suppose.

I'm not sure how the phone companies work over there, but I think that if you can't terminate your contract with them, then you need to get a new phone, because that Blackberry has become a money vacuum. There are some other good smartphones on the market - Nokia makes a couple good ones. Here's a review of some smartphones: clickie!

I'd sing you a song, but I'm feeling quite off
in my heart; it's occupied,

and now's not the time.

LG products are wonderful. I've never had a problem with any LG I've had, including my cell phone and desktop monitor. I highly recommend.

You may have to pay a fee to terminate your contract, but it might be worth it? Call your wireless provider and ask what the fee is. You may also be able to "upgrade" to a new phone for a lesser fee plus the price of the phone. Explain your situation and ask for option. If so-and-so can't help you, ask to speak with their boss.

Ive ALWAYS ad success with Sony Ericsson, or the obvious for what you use it for, an Iphone, you can get a half decent one for the price youre paying for your blackberry

How can one love themselves, when they love absolutely nothing?
Do something that is interesting. If it is not interesting, find out why it is not interesting.
