Problems browsing/staying logged in. - June 15th 2009, 02:15 AM

So yesterday my dad re-installed our security software. And today, the first time I've been online since the upgrade, browsing online has become difficult. Some websites are taking much, much longer to load, and both Teenhelp and Facebook keep on logging me on and off. My dad said that nothing is different in the program so it shouldn't be having this effect, but something is definitely causing it.

FYI, we run Windows XP and we use ZoneAlarm Extreme Security (blerk). Any help/ideas/is this happening to anyone else or is it just me?

Have you tried turning the security settings all the way off and seeing if that works? I don't run ZoneAlarm so I can't give any more in-depth advice.

Hope this helps.

So now, I can't access my Gmail account. Everytime I try to go to my inbox, it says that another user has signed onto my account using the same network and browser, which isn't true, and it signs me out. Or it keeps on refreshing the page over and over so I can't use it. It's getting to be a real pain in the ass. I did some poking around on ZoneAlarm, and one preference is set high enough so that I can connect to Internet zones, but they can't connect to me. do you think that's the source of the problem?

Might be, I say try it. If websites can't connect to you then that's probably why you're having issues. Try it. If not, look around and see what the other settings are.

I'd sing you a song, but I'm feeling quite off
in my heart; it's occupied,

and now's not the time.
