I've set it so that my computer is scanned everyday at a set time and most of the time there is things called tracking cookies which are labelled as "potentially dangerous" or something.
What are these tracking cookies? Are they something to be worried about?
Tracking cookies are generally harmless, though it can't hurt to remove them anyway. See here for info about what they are and their purpose: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_cookie
It gives me the option to heal the dangerous ones which I do but there are others that I can't and I guess are just stored in the virus vault or whatever it's called. Thanks for the replies though. :]
Tracking cookies are generally the cookies used by ad-serving companies so that they can track what they've already shown you and what to show you next.
I don't know why only ad-serving company cookies are detected by anti-virus applications, but they're harmless and safe to remove.
Clearing cookies in your browser has the same effect.
