Sims 2 Install... HELP! - July 28th 2009, 01:43 AM

Okay so I've installed Sims 2 before but then I uninstalled it and I can't remember why but I did.
Recently, I've wanted to start playing it again because I haven't bought Sims 3 yet.
So I tried to install it and I put the first disk in but all that showed up was a box with a red x in it. There wasn't any words or anything and it won't install. I don't know what to do... I'm not very good with computers.
HELP!!

please and thank you!!

Make sure it's the instillation disc.
If it is and it's not being recognized by your computer it might be damaged.
Clean it with a tissue and some water.
If any writing comes up such as "error:3278" google the error number and theres usually a solution, it sounds like a damaged disc though.

"How can you get a goose out of a bottle?"
Imagine that a baby gosling was placed inside one of those big glass bottles with a little opening that you see model ships in, and raised inside, until it is fully grown and can no longer fit out through the neck of the bottle. How can you get the goose out of the bottle? Without hurting/killing the goose.

If i don't respond, it's because you haven't said anything.
