Hacking...? - August 7th 2009, 01:24 PM

Lately, hacking has been on my mind. It seems kinda interesting to me...

Does anyone here know how to hack?

... Teach me?

I don't think anyone on here is going to teach you considering the fact it's illegal...

Its not illegal to know how to hack.
Its illegal to hack into things which you shouldnt.

Theres a Uni course at the uni I was at, that did "Ethical hacking and countermeasure" course.

If you want to learn how to do it, learn computer code, and learn something like the above course at college or uni.

There are also sites with realistic games that essentially teach you hacking. You should be able to find some with a Google search. The important thing to remember is that hacking into the wrong thing can get you into alot of trouble. If you want to hack something, make sure it is yours, or you have permission. (for example, many companies will actually hire someone to hack their servers and computers because they want to know where the weak spots in their security are)

Good luck with it Can be quite alot of fun

Think if my memory serves me right they are called White hat hackers.
You need to know how to use a computer and how it really actually works and how the internet works etc.
But there are sources out there. Just be good

Thank you,

TeenHelp.org honestly isn't the place to be asking about "how to hack" considering 99% of hacking is illegal, the point of it is to either break into something, or do something that shouldn't be done...

As far as I'm concerned, the majority of hacking is ethical and legal. Many companies hire "white hat hackers" to protect their businesses and companies from intrusion, viruses, and so forth.

Although, the same skills and knowledge is required for the ethical and unethical sides of hacking, so I would agree that this may not be the place to ask about such things. Colleges and universities often provide very ethical education in the area.

After a wee bit of thought, I'm gonna close this thread.
This isn't because I saw the word hacking and thought "omg, that's baad!", but more because as Mazar said, the same skills teach you both the ethical and unethical sides of hacking and TeenHelp isn't a place for you to learn such things. Try your local library, you'd be surprised at the stuff they have.
