Combining MP4 files/ AVIdemux - February 21st 2010, 05:27 AM

I have a dilemma!!!!

My goal is to combine 3 mp4 files to make ONE mp4 file. After a lot of searching I started fiddling with AVIdemux, MP4Box, Yamb and sooo many others...

AVIdemux would be perfect (it's come the closest to my goal) but it's finicky, the audio is out of sync and it was randomly overlapping the video. When I add files it gives me this: "H.264 detected" is this the problem and if so how do I fix it??

Besides that the next best thing was MP4Box which combined the files but played them each at the same time (I'd click the file and it'd open 3 separate windows and play them all).

ANY ideas, suggestions or help on this would be greatly appreciated!

P.S - I'm using Linux but I have access to Windows if needed.

See, sometimes the best for these things is to actually use a really basic editing program. You said you have access to windows, so I'd recommend Windows Movie Maker. It's pretty much useless for everything bar what you want to do actually

Also, as for H.264, that's actually a codec for high definition stuff. What that message could mean is either that you've not got the codec installed, or that AVIdemux doesn't support that codec.

I hope you figure it out
