I have an HP G50, and haven't had this problem.

Do you turn up music very loud normally? If so, you may have blown your speakers out.

It's never worked tbh, well since I got it. You see I bought it off a friend, and he said the speakers were working, and now they werent, and tbh at the time it didnt bother me beause headphones work, but I'd like to be able to just turn it on and listen to music and watch videos without having to look for earphones.

My boyfriend has a HP laptop, but he has the opposite problem (sound works fine through speakers, but doesn't like headphones). I assume that the warranty has run out on the laptop, but perhaps you could get some portable speakers to plug in and see if that works?

Don't mean to sound rude, but my laptop has all the relavant drivers.
You could of asked me, instead of making that page and making me feel like shit.
Thanks Yeah.

The warranty has ran out, but I suppose I could take it to a computer shop and get them to have a look at it.

The ear phones sometimes the lead needs to be wiggled around in the port and then they sometimes works.

Sorry about that, I should have asked first.

If it's not the drivers I'm not sure. Are you comfortable taking the computer apart? You could always pop it open and make sure the speakers are hooked to the motherboard properly. If not, I would take it to a shop to just have a diagnostics done. My guess is that it's either the speakers aren't hooked up properly or the speakers are dead.

It's okay, all forgotton about yeah?

Anyways, I'm nto comfortable taking it apart I'll break it lol, but my partner say's he know his way around, and thinks it could be the motherboard. He's going to have a look at it tomorrow, and go from there.

Will keep you posted lol.
