DVD burning software - June 8th 2010, 10:47 AM

I use Windows DVD Maker atm (which comes with Windows Vista Home Premium) but damn it's slow >____< It may just be my computer though. It takes a good five hours to burn a 90 minutes video ._____. Does anyone know of any good free ones?

Hm, thing is it's more likely to be your computer (or more specifically) the speed of your DVD writer that's at fault here. But generally, slower = better, since disc burners have a tendency to produce errors if you just make them burn full speed ahead. Though look in Windows DVD Makers' settings, you might have the speed set to the lowest possible. Somewhere in the middle of your burner's range is a good setting =).
Hope this helps!

Also, if you bought the DVD burner seperate from the computer, I would suggest checking the discs that came with it (if you still have them) - they often have a copy of Nero or Roxio, both of which are far more suitable than Windows' built in DVD burning utility. Depending on what your burning, in this case, video, I would suggest Nero Light, I believe 9 is the current release for the free version.

If it came with your computer, if there is a disc that came with your computer, it is likely included on that disk.
