Google Chrome - August 11th 2010, 05:14 PM

I have been using Google Chrome as my browser for a while and now all of the sudden, it won't open up. When I try to open it up, a rectangular black box appears and then disappears. I did a virus scan and everything is clean. What could be causing this and how do I fix it?

Thank in advance.

You could always try uninstalling and reinstalling it?

Hmm, do you have Internet Explorer still on your computer? Or Firefox?

Because you could transfer all your bookmarks to a different browser and then when Google Chrome installs again it'll ask if you want to import bookmarks from other browsers.

Use firefox. It's better.

Okay then, well go to File > Import and Export

And then you can import settings from another browser which I'm assuming also imports your bookmarks. Then you can uninstall Chrome and re-download it

You can export your bookmarks. Open the Bookmark Manager and there shold be an export option somewhere. Then you can uninstall, download it again, and import your old bookmarks
