HDMI -USB? - December 13th 2010, 11:35 PM

Is there any sort of converter to use a HDMI cable through a USB port (or any other port) on a HDMI-less computer?

I know I probably sound barmy, and this is just not possible. But I'm just checking it out xD I want to watch my videos off my PC on my tellybox. But I don't have a HDMI port. And watching it via VGA and an Audio cable is terrible quality and it makes a strange noise

So is there a possibility of what I said above being real? Or any other advice for meeee.

Thanks nerds

I know there's a bunch of USB video cards on the market that support VGA, DVI, and HDMI but they have a limit on the resolutions they support. If your machine supports DVI an easier way would be a DVI to HDMI adapter.

It's just a shoddy little netbook. I think I need to do some googling.
