Ipod troubles - December 17th 2010, 08:22 PM

Hey, guys. I was trying to connect my brothers Ipod to the computer I used for my ipod.

As I was looking for help, one site suggested that I should open a new library on my site. I followed the instructions and soon I had a clean and empty library. But now, I dont know how I can get the library for my ipod back. Last night I tried to sync my ipod, but then a message told me if I sync, it will clear my ipod of anything not present in my itunes library. I recoevered everything that I purchased, but I still cant find a way to recover the songs that were from limewire...etc)

Is there a way to recover them (the songs) or is there a way to get my old library back?

If you have the libraries to auto save (or whatever it is) then you might be able to get it back from the iTunes folder. But if all the songs have been removed from iTunes, you can't get them back unless you re-add them. You can get them back from the iPod itself using some software, but I don't think it adds them back with all the details, so probably not worth doing.

But basically I think you might be screwed. Don't you have the music files in a folder to be re-added?

All media is saved on the computer, so if I'm understanding your scenario correctly then, yes you can get everything back.. Because it'll be saved in your computer.
