How do I move my mp3 files from my old ipod nano to my new ipod touch? - December 30th 2010, 03:13 PM

I downloaded "Music Rescue" in hope it would do it. It worked, but stopped once it got to Evanesence for some reason :/ Does anyone know of a free way to do this?

Is not it amazing that in the world Apple has to buy a third party product to do something that should be a default function? Except for the obvious reason that Apple wants to buy the same songs over and over in the iTunes Store, which is again the reason that iTunes does not copy the mp3 files from an iPod to a computer?

If you havent already got the songs you want on your itunes, go onto your itunes and select the option which stops it from syncing automatically to your ipod.

Then connect your old ipod to the computer, and I've done it before theres a way you can view the songs on the ipod. Then you drag all those songs into your library then disconnect.

Then connect your new ipod and you can just sync those songs from your library to it

Google will have something to do with this im sure...
