Playing your iPod in your car... - January 15th 2011, 03:43 PM

My car only has a tape/cassette player, and I really want to be able to connect my ipod to my car for as cheaply as possible.

Has anyone ever tried the tape thing with a wire which you can connect your ipod to? And if so, was it any good?

Also, if anyone else has any cheap suggestions I will be greatful

I haven't tried it but I know my cousin had one and it seemed to work pretty well.

That cassette adapter, my friends have used it and I haven't noticed anything bad from that. I use an AUX cable-not all cars have this feature-and that works amazingly well. I have see other methods like getting some other adapters, but some have connection issues, especially if you have to plug a cord into the bottom of the iPod like the cable for plugging it into your computer.

I've never used one but some friends have it and it works good just like other ipod adapters.

An FM transmitter is a cheap solution, although this wasn't really amazing in my Zafria so I sent it back.

I use the tape connector for my ipod, and I love it! It works so well

I used it for a while until I got a new radio put in. They cost $15-20 and last a while. I HIGHLY recommend it and had NO problems with mine!!!

Don't waste your money on the $100+ one that plugs into the charger and then you connect to a station. Mine was so static-y and ended up breaking completely.

There is always hope. PM me anytime.

I found out that we already have an FM thing that I could use, but the sound quality isn't good at all, so I think it might be worth checking out some tape adaptors

Thanks guys!
