Ipod touch stolen can they get my information?

Hey all my ipod touch was stolen today at school. It has the number lock on it. But if they plug it into their computer can they see whats on my ipod? Can they access my songs/videos?

When they plug it into their computer it will say they have to unlock your ipod before they can use itunes with it.
However, anybody with a basic understanding of computers will know that you can get onto it with windows explorer still, aswell as a handful of other programs that replace itunes for media platforms that are ipod compatible.

However, if it's a new iPod and it was bought online your name will be inscribed on the back of it, you could just let your school know what happened. For all you know it's not stolen and is just lost and someone might bring it to the front office.

If the person who stole it has the brain power to understand how to crack an iPod Touchs security then I'd say anything and everything on it is going to be exposed. If they don't care about the data then they just earned themselves a free iPod Touch.
