Is my camera fixable?? :'( - February 23rd 2011, 04:19 PM

I got this camera for my nineteenth birthday and I absolutely love it, it's really perfect for taking everyday pictures and goingout pictures. Unfortunately a lot of the time I use it msot is when I'm drunk at parties and things, and it's been dropped and gotten splashed with alcohol a fair few times. It's always been a total trooper though and kept going despite what I put it through. But the other night it was dropped so hard that the memory card and battery came out and it was a bit of a squeeze to get them back in again...and now I think its finally given up. I can still charge it and plug it into the computer but it's stuck with its screen off, and its lens won't go back in Sometimes when it's been through rough times it stops working with the lens stuck out but that usually fixes itself when I charge it...but now it's stopped working. Should I try and get it fixed somewhere or will it be really expensive?? Should I just let it go and get a new one (and try to treat it more responsibly??) :/

If you get another one, go to currys, for an extra fee they give you extra protection for a year. Mines broke and they instantly replaced it.

I would take it to an electronics store and have someone there take a look at it. They may be able to fix it.

And here you are living, despite it all.
