wireless button - April 11th 2011, 06:55 PM

Hey there i have a hp compaq nx7400 laptop, i recently replaced the speakers as they were broke, but now the wireless button keeps randomly turning its self off. Somtimes after an hour and sometimes a little longer.
the only way i can get it to come back on is by restarting the computer.

can anyone shed a little light on this please?

Re: wireless button - April 12th 2011, 03:09 PM

I Honestly thought people would have googled the laptop :/

Any ways on the laptop just under the screen is 5 buttons.
1)Power button
2) Wireless button
3) Mute
4)Meduim vol
5) High vol

When i turn my laptop on the wireless button (that makes sure im conected to the wireless home hub) is meant to be on blue.
Sometimes it doesnt come on and i have to restart my laptop till it comes on.
But when its on, it randomly turns its self off.

I thought i was being pretty clear on what i was asking but hopefully this will help.

This was the first laptop my dad bought a few years ago. My brother still uses it from time to time. I just asked him about it (he's a computer whiz) and he told me that maybe there might be a lose connection inside. So just in case, if this keeps happening (don't wait for it to happen to many times), you need to get it checked out. There's probably a problem with the computer itself. Get it to a computer store or in fact any place for electronics and ask them to take a look at it. (:

Sorry it took so long to reply!!

If it's really old, there's really no point in fixing it. But, actually, if you want to fix it, you really should take it to someone outside, because it has something to do with the connections inside. If something goes wrong there when you or your boyfriend is dealing with it, the whole computer could be affected. With things like this, even my brother takes it to the experts.
