Exclamation Hacked Again?! - May 28th 2011, 05:38 AM

Seriously!!?? Like seriously. You HAVE to be joking. This is the 2nd time I've been hacked here, the first time it was in chat and this time they actually posted in the forums. The first they posted in the LGBT forums about having a wee wee or a pee pee (WTF)
and then the 2nd was in the Foods about a C**-Cake Recipe and then the 3rd was in the Rape and Abuse forums about what your abuser has said!
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PERSON!?
I'm so sick of it! I'm done! The next time I'm hacked, I will leave because I don't want some troll trolling on here and people possibly blaming me and then I might get banned. Might as well the give up because this is getting ridiculous.

Fallon,
Could you maybe change your password to something stronger than your current one? I'd suggest using a range of capital letters and numbers as it would be hard to guess.

Just keep following the heartlines on your hand.

Re: Hacked Again?! - May 28th 2011, 08:25 AM

Change your password as well as your e-mail address listed on your profile. Someone could try to sign on TH with your username, click on the button of forgot/lost password and type in the e-mail address listed on your profile. If they know the password to that e-mail address, they may be able to hack into your TH account over and over. I suggest you change the e-mail address or its password. Also, scan your computer for viruses, malware and key-loggers. If your computer is hacked, the person may be able to establish a back-door so they can easily access it or access information from the key-loggers they dropped in your system.

If you haven't done so already, post in the technology & gaming forum because that's where the computer techies are.

Do you have an internet security and/or anti-virus program installed on your computer already? Do you use a router? Do you have wireless internet (depending on the encryption key, it may be easy to hack)? Lastly, have you gotten any e-mails from TH saying your account has been suspended due to multiple failed log-ins? If so, someone may be using a brute hack and you have a weak password. If not, then it suggests your system itself may be hacked.

Even if you don't have friends or siblings who use your computer, try deleting your browsing history, cookies, temporary files, etc... . Most of this takes a few clicks. Also, flush DNS caches either by doing it with a few clicks or do these steps:

1) Right-click command prompt and click on Run As Administrator. It should put up a screen and say "C:\Windows\system32" (minus the quotes) and NOT "C:\Users\___" (minus the quotes and ____ is the name you put on your system).
2) Type in "ipconfig /displaydns" (minus the quotes). You should get a long list.
3) Type in "ipconfig /flushdns" (minus the quotes). It should say something like "Windows IP Configuration. Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache".

Alternatively, if you don't want to do this manually, download a program called CCleaner, it's a free program.

Also, download a scanning program, such as HiJackThis or TDSSKiller. They'll give a detailed report which you probably won't be able to understand so post it in a different forum where others can read it. The latter gives more detailed information but both are free. If they find nothing, then your system probably is safe and it's most likely a matter of having a crappy password.

Do not access teenhelp outside of your home. Don't go on it at school, and don't go on it in public libraries. Other friends' houses... I don't know so well, but I'd still avoid it.

Those are the most common ways in which someone could gain access to your account, without going into details.

If you've got some spare time, read this:

http://www.teenhelp.org/forums/f40-s...-d/#post631229

But don't if you're easily triggered. If you're not easily triggered then go ahead.

I agree with BDF and the others. Change your password on here and on your email address with something with upper-case letters, lower-case letters and numbers. Don't tell anyone your password or sign into TH on a public computer. Change your password every few weeks too.

-feels bad as my password has been the same since 2007-

Create an entirely new email, and change the email that you're using on here to the new one.

You indeed can change your password on windows live. When you say windows live, I assume you have hotmail or something of the sort. If you have hotmail or anything else, I can tell you exactly how you change your email password. Just let me know.

Go to hotmail, and log in accordingly. Hotmail is windows live/ live/ whatever you want to call it that's where you log in at and is where you went to register for an email account.

Up in the right hand corner it'll say your first and last name, or whatever you put as your first and last name when you registered.

Looks as such. Hover over it and that will pop up. Click on account.

Go down to where it says password. Click on change. Change it to whatever you want.

Voilà. My account information is edited out for my own privacy.

I say change your email password because if they know your email password it doesn't matter how many times you change your password on here, they can still get it.

Did anyone even mention report this to the mods? Report the posts in question to the mods and ask them for the IP address and the name it's given and see if they can find a match with any other member on the forum. If they do not, then if you get the IP (I don't see why not because it's not like you're asking for someone elses IP).. Once you get the IP, go to this site: http://ipchicken.com at every location you sign on TH with to see if you can find a match.

If you find none, then you can truly be sure that it's not someone you know.

The first main thing that you should do is to make sure that your password is complex. For example, a password such as "mypassword" is not complex. Do something such as "3@1MyPassword019@". Although you have changed your password, you need to make sure that it is a strong one. Check here for a password generator: http://www.safepasswd.com/

You might want to change your password to your e-mail as well--you never know if they have access to your e-mail to gain access here.

Report that certain posts made under your account were due to someone hacking your account to a mod.

Leave the past behind, just walk away

And the cracks begin to show
