Note Taking Software - July 27th 2011, 08:40 PM

What is a good software that takes notes from voice? I have no idea what this is called. Price is not an object. I currently have a Levono ThinkPad. Thanks.

A good voice recording system comes with the iphone which I use faithfully. If your looking for a quick easy way to remember thoughts use it. The phone as a whole is amazing.

Look into it.

I assume then that you are on MS Windows, yes?

Personally, I use a netbook to take notes and simply use a word processor on par with MS Word and organize the documents into different directories by class, and I use a date at the beginning of each file name so they are always in proper order such as...

"08-31-11 Biology Basics". I prefer to use OpenOffice or LibreOffice as they are free and work pretty much just as well as Word, but if you have a copy of office it can do fine. Some people like something that's more of a "notebook" style of organization, and I have heard of many but I've never used them so can't recommend anything.
