People with 2 computers

Hey who here has a laptop and desktop or two laptops etc and what do you use each pc for?

I have a desktop and a laptop and my boyfriend has the same (we live together).

I use them for the same things except my laptop can only handle older games whereas my desktop can handle "almost" any game.

Boyfriend using his desktop for coding and working on crazy things like that and his laptop is more for hacking and just internet things.

I use the desktop computer in my house for things like school work and itunes.

I use my laptop for more recreational purposes as it's much faster than the desktop.

I only have a desktop.

Maybe one day I could aford both.

There is a desktop in my house but I don't usually used it my mom does and my little cousins when they come I prefer them mess up that one than my laptops. I have two laptops one for school and one for my house I have everything backed up in the one that stays home. The one for school I only use it for school work I have all my books there and home works nothing else.

I have my own personal laptop which I use for everything.

I do get on the downstairs family computer sometimes though especially since we recently got a really nice new one.

Cool I now have a laptop and a desktop which is brand new, it has a big hardrive too think im going to use my laptop for iTunes and uploading photos as my tower doesn't have a sd card slot, also use it to update my blackberry also to take to my boyfriend's place. My desktop will be used for games and video calling also web and video editing also the boyfriend asked if he could use it sometimes and he wants to upload some stuff to it so why not.

There's the family desktop downstairs but it is so PAINfully slow that I would never really use it for anything, even if I could shake my little brother off it!!

1 family computer - which is fairly new because the old 1 broke ;/
1 school laptop - which every child at a public school in australia in years 9, 10 and 11 recived one by the government.
my sister also recived a school laptop
my mothers laptop - which is also for the family
and an old laptop - which only lets you go on a guest account.

Family has a lot! I have the 2.7Ghz 13.3" Macbook Pro. I got it about a month ago, before that I had a regular white macbook (2.0Ghz, 2gb RAM, 120GB HDD) from my birthday in 2009.

We have a family desktop downstairs, mostly for my mum to use ebay, email, rightmove etc. My dad uses it to get the school email from home.


My brother has a desktop, which was previously our family one before we bought that new one. I fixed it up for him. He also has a really cheap netbook for school.


My mum has her own work-related laptop but she doesn't really need it anymore, so it isn't used much except when i want to play around with Win7 or Ubuntu or one of us needs a laptop when we have no access to another.

Cool I bought my Parents a laptop last Xmas and it's slow so that's not used my sister has a dell insipron laptop like mine and my brother has a netbook.

I have a desktop and a laptop. My laptop no longer connects to the internet though, so I'm going to buy a cheap netbook one day.

Don't bother with a netbook. iPads are way better.

I have a big gaming desktop for almost everything, I do assignments on it as well as play games and generally do everything on it. I have a netbook for class, or to just go online when I'm sick in bed, but that's going to be replaced by a macbook pro shortly.

I have two laptops I use frequently, the main one being my Mac. I also have a netbook running Linux that I use for lighter tasks, mostly to stay organized during school. I also have a third machine that I am using as a test model for what I hope to be a future computer business

I have my own personal desktop, which I use for everything. Then there's 3 other desktops in the house which I maintain, as well as 1 laptop which I maintain.

I have a desktop and laptop. Hardly ever use the laptop unless I'm going somewhere.

I Have a desktop which i use for downloading (legally) from the bbc iplayer, stuf for my games, and basically facebook and things like that. Maybe gaming sites to as they carry alot of virius.

My laptop which is for my Sims3 Sometimes internet (not to much as i don't like viruses)

My fiance has a desktop in the form of his 42inch hd tv which he uses for downloading and buying his karaoke songs.

A laptop for watching videos and limited internet.

And we have a joint laptop that we use for pcdj and kara fun, which are programs for our karaoke business. No internet or gaming allowed lol, it is literally crammed with karaoke still runs fairly quick like.

Then theres my bro in law he has a laptop which he uses for everything.

(we all live in the same house as my partner and i are waiting on our house to be finshed getting built)
