One of my keys is sticking - September 1st 2011, 07:30 PM

The S key on my laptop is sticking I have to hit it a little harder and in the right spot to get it to make the letter. There might be something stuck underneath it is there anyway to get it out without taking the key off? (I'll never get it back on) If there's nothing under it, what else could be wrong?

You could try to use a hover to suck it out or buy a can of compressed air and blow it loose

Try turning your computer off then using the vacuum cleaner on it, or use a brush or a Q tip with a little windex to try and get under there and remove whatever it is. It's a possibility you spilt a sticky beverage like pop in there, and in that case you'd have to maybe buy a new keyboard because pop does not come out that easily. Luckily there are alot of cheap keyboards these days.

I don't drink pop anymore and I try not to drink anything anywhere near my laptop, but it seems to have corrected itself. This can be closed now, thanks
