Transfering songs from iPod Touch to new iTunes Library -

Hi,
Does anyone know of an easy way for me to get the songs on my iPod Touch 4th Gen to a new laptop I have without the use of the older laptop? (It's a really messed up laptop, to say the least) I keep getting a message to either "erase and sync" or "cancel" I keep hitting cancel but I want to get it to where the iPod just connects. I really want to figure this out so I can have all of my music on the iTunes on this computer and so that I have it backed up in case of any problems. I have to send the iPod to get repaired and want to be sure that I have all of my music in a safe place before doing so. Thanks for any replies.

This thread can be closed...I found a feature of the new iTunes that I didn't know existed where you can download all of your purchases onto the computer through the iCloud.
