Weird text messages?

Have any of you ever recieve any odd or weird text messages before?

Just yesterday I just recieved a weird one that said "hi i am katelyn davis*i am the biggest nerd*u*know" or something like that.

Well it depends, are the messages from people you know? Of course I get random messages from friends-my friends are weird and great friends...emphasis on weird . The only other weird messages I get are from companies trying to advertise etc.

First off, if it is someone you know, ask them about the message.
If it isn't someone you know, check the number. Do you know the area code? If not, look up the phone number to see if others are getting weird messages as well--normally you can enter the number into Google to check.
If this is a constant issue, you can block their number.

I've gotten a few but they were either friends pranking me or were wrong numbers. If you don't know them, I'd just ignore it and if they keep texting you then block the number.

I have many that would be odd for someone else to read, but for me, they're pretty normal :P
I get some odd stuff like random letters too... Nothing to much

I got a text from someone I don't know. Apparently they thought they were texting their boyfriend but nope, it was me. :P I don't remember what it said, though, it was so long ago.

I just ignore random texts from numbers I don't know. If my friends send me weird texts, I respond with even weirder responses.

Yes I get many chain letters and scam/prank ones. I remember a long time ago I got this text message of a picture of this teenage girl and a young baby and they wanted you to forward that text to as many people or they both will die. So ridiculous.
