New Phone Advice!! -

So, I'm FINALLY getting a new phone. My Samsung Impression broke back in July, so I've been stuck using a flip phone.
 Anyways, my parents are cheap and don't want to buy a smart phone because of the data plan. So, I'm currently looking at the HTC Freestyle and the Pantech Laser. Does anyone have any opinions on these phones? If you do, could you please include the reasons for your opinions? Thanks!
