How do I fix my phone so people can get my texts? - January 11th 2012, 02:28 AM

A couple weeks ago my boyfriend and I were texting and all of a sudden he stopped, so I thought maybe he was just busy and I waiting 2 days for him to answer, but he never did. My phone froze while I was trying to text him to find out what was going on, so I shut my phone off and turned it back on then texted him. That's when he told me that he never got the last text I sent 2 days before. We keep trying to text but he still never gets mine. We don't get to see each other very often, so texting is the only way we can talk. Last week I did an experiment where I texted 3 of my friends while I was sitting next to them to see if they could get my texts. None of them got any of my texts, and my boyfriend and the friends I tried texting all have the AT&T like me, so it can't be an issue with different networks. Why is it happening and what can I do to fix it?

My only conclusion is that the phone is the problem. You said it yourself that it has been freezing and not working correctly. Take it into the mobile shop and I'm sure if you are under contract with them, they should be able to replace it very easily.

Knowledge is half the battle.

It sounds like the phone is the issue. Take it to the AT&T store and ask them to take a look at it. If you've had the phone for less than a year, it's probably still under the manufacturer warranty. If AT&T can't fix the problem, try getting in touch with the company that makes the phone and see how you should go about fixing this. Even if you're no longer under warranty, call the company and see if there's anything that can be done.

I've had it for over a year now, so it won't be under warranty anymore.

I think it still might be working taking it into the store and seeing if there is anything they can do about it, they might be able to point you in the direction of someone who can help or offer to fix it for a price.
