Does anyone play minecraft?

I've played this game for a while however its been getting more and more addicting, so I decided to create my own server (again) I owned one in the past. In my opinion this is the best sandbox game there is. While the graphics aren't the best the principle game is amazing.

Tell me what you think of the game as a whole and if your interested feel free to drop by my server. Its a Pvp server so you might die, enter at your own risk. We support Bukkit and a ton of cool plugins.

I've been meaning to see what it's all about, as my college mates keep going on about it, but I don't get what's so awesome about it,

I have tried it out a few months ago. Wasn't really my cup of tea. I think I will give it another shot though. I end up liking things I hated at first. For example, I didn't really care for Angry Birds at first, now I am very addicted to it.

My brothers, and sometimes my sister, play it. I don't care for it, but I don't hate it either.

I couldn't get into it. My boyfriend is absolutely obsessed. He shows it to me like "Look what I'm doing, I made this house, and this new house, and I mined all of this, look, see this is my mine! And I have a dog, see?"

Me: There's no people here, where are the Sims? Ahhh...

I have played it but I couldn't get into it. It seems like one of those games where I'd have to play it for a while to get into. I didn't have the patience

I love it in small doses--I can't play for a day straight etc, but I can do a few hours at a time. The idea is simplistic yet amazing; create from the world around you. I played when it was in the early Beta stages and it was really great. Now, I don't play as much but it still is such a great game. If you play on the normal modes with monsters, it sucks you in and I remember everyone who played would be on edge-one time our friend fell over when a Creeper got her.

I know a lot of people who are obsessed with it as in they constantly play and have giant things to show off...my boyfriend went through a huge phase where he'd play constantly. At times, it was really cool what people made...but others not really.

While this game doesn't seem to fit my tastes, I have to admit it sounds pretty awesome. I'm just not creative enough to really take advantage of this. I like a degree of freedom and choice in my games, but Minecraft seems to take that waay too far. It sounds like a GREAT game though for people who are into that stuff.

Never played Minecraft but been sitting next to people who have and I don't see the big interest in a load of blocks...

Don't even get me started on Minecraft... It's awesome! I love playing with friends in a survival server. One of my friends hosts his own server and I'm on it a ton. I like to fancy myself a good builder, but I don't have the patience to build structures more than 40x40x50. Over that size and I lose interest in the structure after too long. I'd love to drop by your server sometime, if it's supporting the latest update.

It's my first post do I gotta start somewhere...

I love minecraft soooooo much!!! It's a great game to just pass some time or play with my friends server. I'll build pretty much anything the best I can. Anyone use any good mods?
