The Sims 2 - January 25th 2012, 01:32 PM

I've already made a thread for The Sims 3 so lets make one for the Sims 2

I had the base game, University, Night Life, Seasons, Open For business (ew) and Bon Voyage for my old Windows laptop. I now have a Mac so they aren't compatible silly EA.

I could have installed them on my old laptop again but my dad has it now and it's slow enough as it is I sold them to my friend's niece.

I found the base game, University, Pets, Bon Voyage and Night Life for Mac on ebay for a cheap price. They'll be coming soon

Do you guys still play Sims 2? I want to get back into it as there are so many nice custom content and mods out there for it. The Sims 3 is also slightly laggy on my iMac so The Sims 2 will work like a dream

I think it will be a bit weird going back to The Sims 2 now though. It'll be weird not customising everything to the last detail and having to get taxis just to go shopping. I do miss the odd thing though, like the chemistry, turn ons, turn offs and the fact that hair would move with your sims (why they didn't put that in Sims 3 confuses me)

I have never played the Sims but it sounds kinda cool actually. Do you play any other games like this? I know there are a couple of free ones on the net as well.

I had just the Sims 2 Deluxe (the Night life or whatev expansion). It was ok. I like Sims 3 better (like less loading screens, more to do) even with all of its bugs.

Ummm... The Sims is the only real people simulation game I know of. Sims 2 is a lot cheaper than Sims 3 now so if you want to give it a go buy Sims 2

I had all the EPS except for bon voyage. As for the stuff packs it was a hand ful of odd ones like Ikea, H&M, and something else. I gave them all to my sister when i started playing TS3

I very rarely buy stuff packs. The only one I have for the Sims 3 is Town Life Stuff and that's because it was half price. I just think you can find nicer objects online (mod the sims, the sims resource, peggy zone etc.) for free.

There's second life. It's pretty much similar to the sims. You dress your character, you can interact with other online members. Go shopping etc. It's real fun.

I love Sims 2! I recently started playing it again as well, but I discovered EA got rid of their exchange, so you cannot get anymore custom content

I have Sims 2, Pets, Late Night, Apartment life, Celebration stuff, Glamour Life Stuff and my personal favourite: Open for Buisness.

They're great, but somehow not as fun as Sims 3. I think it's the loading screens that I hate.

I also have the original with all the expansions. I bought it off a friend for two dollars!

Sims 2 is my ultimate favourite PC game. I have almost all the expansion packs. But of course Sims 2 pets is my favourite. Ugh. Now I wanna go play it. It's been awhile. lol
