Obvious or not?! - July 13th 2016, 05:47 AM

So recently I switched schools and I really wanted to fit in and stuff so I started wearing makeup to school even though it's not allowed. Whenever I do my makeup in the morning, it looks pretty natural and not that noticeable to me but almost everyday I end up with a naked face by lunch because the teachers noticed my makeup. I've started wearing lesser makeup now, so just foundation, concealer, a bit of blush and lip gloss. This has improved my naked face by lunch situation, but hasn't solved it completely. Am I wearing too much makeup? Help please!

You don't need to wear make up to fit in. Be yourself

breathe. it's just a bad day, not a bad life.

Hey there, as Delwen has said, you shouldn't wear make up to fit in. You should wear make up as...
- A short-term confidence boost, if it makes you feel more attractive
- An artistic outlet
Just think about it... by wearing makeup solely for the purpose of fitting in, you are more likely to attract people who judge people who don't wear makeup (which is really shallow). If that's the main reason you're wearing, I would advise you to stop. Don't change your habits (or create new ones) just to please others. Honestly, almost no one will notice it. I've gone two whole months now without wearing any makeup whatsoever (I used to wear concealer, mascara and lipstick) and a month without wearing a bra, and NO ONE has commented on either of these things. Literally no one. When I mentioned these milestones to my closest friends they were just like "oh good for you, I didn't notice".
If you're still not convinced, I suggest you at least try going ONE DAY without wearing makeup to school. If you feel like it dramatially impacted your interractions with peers in a negative way, then sure, go back to makeup if that's what feels best. And if anyone makes a mean comment on it (which I really, REALLY doubt will happen) just say your alarm didn't ring and you barely had any time to get ready or something.

Hope this helps! Just try to stay true to yourself!!
