Thoughts on a beard... - November 7th 2009, 12:29 AM

Recently a friend of mine saw an old picture of my when I was sixteen where I had my beard and she told me that it suited me and that I should grow it again. Which is really o.o since I always thought I was the only one who liked the look of it..

This is me now:

And here's me with the theoretical beard:

(shush, lol).

I'm just wondering, would that suit me? Also what's the general consensus on facial hair anyways?

Do it. Period.

Seriously, man. You'll be awesome with a beard.

Re: Thoughts on a beard... - November 7th 2009, 01:56 AM

lol I'm sorry but I just gotta say how much the second picure made me laugh. I don't know why, not that I think it'd look bad but just because of the amazingly sophisticated and complicated photoshop deal. (done in paint) Ahh I love it. Then again I'm on a 'lack of sleep high' so...

As for the actual question, I think it'd be fitting. Assuming your facial hair doesn't look gross itself but there's no way for us to tell is there?
I don't like it grown too long... I find it gross if grown too long and if it's messy, so i'd keep it somewhat short.
But I think it'd fit you fine. Got a bit of a metal look going on. kickass

Take me seriously.
I dare you.

I don't think that it'd look too bad! What's the harm in just going for it and growing a beard and if you decide you don't like it, just shave it off.

I say go for it so long as it's kept neat and tidy or even left as stubble At least, that's the way I prefer facial hair. But grow it however you want and see which stage you liked best.

Do it. Go for a full Gandalf beard! That way it can double as a scalf if you're cold! But you can always shave it off if you don't like it so you might as well give it a go and try.

My chin still feels cold sometimes in memory of my beard but it really didn't suit me.

Hehe, Lou, I'll totally keep food out of it .
Jack, I don't think a full on Gandalf affair would work for me.
Okay, I've kind of taken the first step in growing one, it's not quite finished yet, but I've shaved the rest of my face, leaving the longish stubble of the beard.

Pardon the weird expression, it was just a webcam photo. I know that at the moment it just looks terrible, just an outline of stubble, but give it another week and it should have much more definition.
What do yous think?
