Perfume help. - November 18th 2009, 04:03 PM

-didn't know where to put this- My mum is buying me perfume for Christmas I just don't know what to ask her to get. I like Paris Hilton - Heiress but it's kind of expensive. I'm clueless with perfume, I've never bought my own I just wear ones people buy me for Christmas and then forget the names of them. Does anyone know of any that smell similar to Paris Hilton's?

Buying perfume is tricky - the way a perfume smells on each of us has to do with the chemicals in our body, you can own a perfume that smells awesome on you but terrible on your best friend. I don't know where in the UK you are but you can always go into a department store and try on a few that you think you might like, remember spray it on YOU, don't spray it on piece of paper. Walk out, go home and at the end of the day review the ones you liked,do they still smell good? is the smell still strong? does it fade too quickly?.

I have Envy Me from Gucci.
It smells so good, I would recommend that one, go to a perfume store and check it out.

Everyone is born right-handed. Only the greatest overcome it.

I don't know of any, but you could have your mom buy a pack of perfume samples at Sephora or wherever you can buy perfume. These packs contain samples of different perfumes and also come with a gift certificate for a free full size bottle of perfume of your choice. They're about $50 and you could try many perfumes and pick your favorite.

I think it's really just about trying a few different perfumes until you find one that suits you and that you like. In the shops they usually have testers so you can smell them before you buy. Personally I like wearing Vanilla perfume from the body shop or CKin2U

I have D&G The One. It is SO GOOD. My ex got it for me on Valentines and I've nearly finished the bottle!!

Got to The Perfume Shop, they will spray smells you like on paper strips and write which one it is. That way you can compare them, and get your mam / friends opinions too. Then give her the one you choose and she can take it in and buy a bottle.

You can't move mountains by whispering at them.

Take a look at my art here:
