Modelling... - November 24th 2009, 06:34 PM

Nearly a year ago I was scouted by a model agent in london. At the time I was going through a very strong feminist phase and said I wasn't interested. Then a few months ago my friends and family encouraged me to give it try. So, a few months ago, my mother and I met up with the model scout who took us to an agency. They said that I was a bit young but that I should see them again at the end of the year. I've been told that I will probably go back there in a few weeks to have a test. Does anyone know what this involves? Anyone had any modelling experiences?

I used to model for a company in LA called "NOUS"
Never heard of a "test" though.

I'd imagine they'll just take some photos of your full body, then profile. Maybe see how well you do in different lighting etc.
Best of luck!

(Make sure you don't wear make up when you go back)

when they say "test" i think they mean they'll probably take a few test shots so they can see how you look on camera, how you move etc. they'll chat to you about what work you'd be interested in doing/have available you are to do different jobs and what not.

what agency is it? my older brother is with a modelling agency in london. there can be a lot of money in it so if you're up for it and they like your look i'd go for it!

make sure they are a proper modelling agency though.. there are faaaar too many "fakes" out there who are just interested in taking your money.. or worse. so yeah, be careful.

Thanks for your help. Yes it is a proper modelling agency. I don't want to say it, but as agencies go, it's quite famous.
