Ugh, this is really embarrassing for me, but my mum has NEVER shown me how to shave using a razor, I've always used shavers or hair removal creams.
I actually asked her a while ago to show me and she just said no cos she says it's silly and I should stick with what I already use.

Well I use ''Venus'' Razors and Razor heads. Then I'll use either soap or Gillette shaving gel.
For me, the shaving gel gives a really smooth shave - and it lasts longer than a soapy shave.

I've never tried waxing or anything - but I'm happy with the results I've been getting =]

i would advise against shaving actually - waxing is much easier.. or you could try hair removal cream.

I take a bath. I use a bath glove, which I got at the dollar store. It works great. I put hair conditioner on the glove, and rub it into it with my other hand. It works great, as long as you don't use too much. It makes your legs smooth for days afterward.

I use Venus Embrace razors, but I take the gel stuff off of them, and use either LUSH Razortanium Shaving Cream or Almond and Coconut Shower Smoothie, they both work WONDERS. I'm a freak who's hair grows like a weed and they both give me super close, lasting shaves and i'm not blindly going at my legs with razors, so not cuts!!!!

I have the vibrating Venus razor, and that's always worked well. I just use shower gel, but I'd use shaving gel. I've always wanted to try hair removal cream, though. Does it burn much?

How about laser removal hair, you will never have to shave again.

My Venus embrace has basically been god's gift to my legs. It's awesome. I can't wax because my skin is really sensitive and it hurts a lot to wax. I almost died when I tried haha. Veer or Nair are good hair removal creams or so I have heard but I have never tried them personally. Also you know those things on tv called smooth away? It works. It's not perfect but if u are in a hurry or are camping and have limited water access it works great.

I use that. It works perfect. You don't need to buy shaving cream then, because the soap on the razor works perfect. So no cuts or anything. Makes your legs smooth, and such. You can usually just use it in the shower then. You can use that one for awhile, too. Then you just pop the little head off, and buy refills(? New heads. Idk.) to re put on. It works really well. I recommend it!

Re: SHAVING!! UGHH--HELPP - January 4th 2010, 11:57 PM

I've found all the generic disposible razors to be the best. Wilkinsons disposibles are good. The venus ones or whatever wear down so quickly, maybe so you have to keep buying them? And they're so expensive, a cheapie 10-for a quid disposible ones last me about a month per razor, plus sometimes, and I don't use anything but water =/

Hope you figure it out

Maybe try shaving with conditioner instead of shaving gel. It works for me!
