Tutus -
January 15th 2010, 06:49 PM
It's my friend's birthday soon and we'll all be going round town for it ... she wanted to pick a theme for her birthday, and she picked tutus ... OMG I have never worn a tutu in my life, and I don't know how to wear one if you know what I mean. I've googled them and all I see is ballerinas or people wearing tutus and appearing to be wearing nothing underneath them ...
So what would I wear WITH a tutu (it will be pink) and more importantly what do I wear under it ... I don't wanna just be wearing knickers like all the pictures I've seen. Any advice on what I would wear with/under a pink tutu would be great. Thanks

Now, I'm not a girl and have thus obviously never worn a tutu. But I have seen girls wearing them (well I used to) and most of them were wearing jeans under them.
I suppose you could also wear coloured leggings if you wants, and leg warmers. That'd be cool. I have a really weird sense of style though so I'd take whatever I say with a grain of salt.

You could wear a number of things underneath, including: black tights, leggings, jeggings, jeans, skin coloured tights and leg warmers.
Good luck in picking what would best suit you. "I don't go looking for trouble. Trouble usually finds me. - Harry Potter "It is important to fight, and fight again, and keep fighting, for only then can evil be kept at bay, though never quite eradicated." - Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumblordore |

Tights or leggings would look good. Or if you wanted to be different wear the tutu over jeans. Hope you have fun deciding what to wear and have a great time dressing up.

^^ Nah, I think jeans would look cool, if that's how you're comfortable.
But I do think leggings or tights would look better.

I think jeans would look pretty bad too.
I'd wear black leggings and pink leg warmers then on the top I'd wear a pink tank top, with a very baggy lose black off the shoulder top over top, ala flash dance

Flash daance!
Yeah very bright colours go well with this kind of outfit. I would go for black leggings with whatever colour leg warmers, (same colour as your tutu mind) high heels, a bright coloured bra and a black tank top. Bright coloured clip in hair extensions, and bright coloured make up! =D She flies with her own wings |
