Handbag help! -

I'm a really simple girl. I've had a total of maybe 3-4 purses total, because whenever I find one I tend to use it for a very long time.
My cat was a very, very bad kitty cat and urinated on my purse.  So now I'm in a situation where I need to find a new purse.The only problem is I have such a terrible time finding one I like! I like purses that go over your shoulder, and I've even had some where they've gone down to my hips. Though I'm fine with shorter ones, though I prefer to be able to adjust the length of the purse. But I don't really know where to look. I've looked at the basics - Target, Walmart, Payless, etc. But usually their purses are too... I don't even know how to describe it, they're just not me.  I like earth tone colors, and calm things. I don't need something super cute, and high end with a big name attached to it. Can anybody suggest a site for me to look at? Or even the name of the type of handbags I should be looking at? I've been looking at 'shoulder handbags' but sometimes they're as small as a clutch... just with a small chain on it. |

It is impossible to find a nice cheap bag these days. I literally own, like two. Try vintage and consignment shops.. lots of nice over the shoulder bags there as it was the vogue for many years to have a small bag on a long skinny strap

Lol, I actually found a picture of my very first purse (I got it at a hippy store where I used to live in Pennsylvania)
