Red face Bathing suits for big boobs - June 2nd 2010, 08:48 PM

Heyy. I have larger boobs than my friends. I'm about a [Edited] C. The problem is that I love to wear bikinis. I can wear string bikinis, but my boobs look HUGE in them (pretty much any suit they look huge haha). I really want a superrr cute suit for this summer, that kind of makes my boobs look a little smaller, and that I can fit into and look cute without it looking like my suit is too small, and is a bikini or two piece but NOT a tankini. I really want to wear bikinis this summer. Any ideas?? Will a bandeau bikini work with big boobs or no?

Bandeaus can look good, but offer very little support ... best would probably be an underwired bra style bikini top.

my x girlfriend had the same problem she always had a hard time finding good swimming suits to wear because her breasts were so much more bigger then her hips.

she was a c [Edited] and her hips were small haha...
so she always had to buy 2 bathing suites and mix and match to make them fit..

she was only 5'3 [Edited] ...

I'm not sure where you live but in the UK the lingerie places sometimes stock good swimwear, that's where I get mine from too and I'm very large up top

I have just a regular bikini top, and I have a "D" chest, and it gives me great support, I just make sure that I tie it tight.. Maybe go to a swim suit store, and say you need something that will give you support? Thats what I did

I don't think a bandeau top will work for someone who has a larger chest.
You should look for swimsuits with a banded halter top that offers moderate coverage, something similar to this style. :) You also might want to look for a swimsuit with underwire for extra support.

Personally, I'm also top-heavy. But also, I don't like showing skin. So I go with a tankini and baggy swim shorts that are knee-length.

Bandeaus don't really offer a lot of support - make sure, if you go for a bandeau, that you look at coverage. Halter tops are good for support as well.
Check with a store like Victoria's Secret. While they don't really sell bikinis in the store, check online. They're a bra store - they should definitely have different styles based on body type.

Just a tip that I found online:
"Conversely, big-busted women, who wish to minimize their bust, should look for bikini bottoms that are have some interesting detailing (e.g. a belt, frill or embellishments) to divert attention from the top half. Choose a bikini top that separates the bust, rather than pushing your breasts together, like a bandeau or balcony style, but make sure it has a lot of support." (Found HERE)

Hope this helps. I don't do two-pieces 'cause my body sucks. Just sayin'. :P
