Summer Eyeliner (smudging help?) - June 15th 2010, 08:14 PM

I use the twisty eyeliners, like this one:

I don't like using the pencils that you have to sharpen very much...
I've noticed that my eyeliner smudges more during the summer. And it completely comes off the bottom water line, (which isn't anything new but...)
And I've found that using liquid eye liner works better, but it takes longer for me to do in the morning because I'm very clutsy with it

Any tips on how to stop it from smudging?
Are there any brands better than others?

I know it's a pencil liner, and a little expensive. But I find that Urban Decay pencil liners stay on really well! I've tried a few different products over the years but that's definitely been the best. I've got them in every colour, and they're just perfect.

They're easy to use, they go on easily and smudge if you want them to too. I'd definitely recommend checking them out, and seeing if it's something you'd be interested in.

Good luck!

I'd suggest Styli-Style eyeliners. Yes, they're more expensive, No I don't know if they have the twisty-pencils or not, but YES it's definitely worth the extra money! It doesn't smudge, and hardly moves even after swimming!

I have little experience buying twisty-eyeliners, but I know rimmel's pencil eyeliners are fairly smudge resistant. I'm pretty sure they have twisty ones- you could see if their formula works better with your skin.

Do you wear eye primer? I heard that can help, too.

Also, have you given cream eyeliner a try for around the eye? The stuff's suppose to be pretty water resistant. I heard E.l.f. has some really nice ones in their studio line for $3. People have been raving about it on youtube, and For e.l.f.'s prices its totally worth trying giving it a try, even if it turns out you don't like it.

I use the e.l.f cream eyeliner and it's really good. It's a lot easier to use than liquid eyeliner and lasts the same amount of time

I use Revlon liquid eyeliner. It's sorta like a thin-tipped sharpie. It goes on so well and stays on really well and it is easily removed with makeup remover. That is what I would recommend.
