Girls - what do you keep your jewellry in? - August 7th 2010, 08:42 PM

Now I have a nice pink jewellry box which is great for silver chains and rings.

But most jewellry nowadays is really chunky. I used to lay mine out on a shelf so I could see them, but it looked a bit untidy and they got in the way, and I like to be organised

So I wondered what you keep big jewellry in? Think massive bracelets and bangles, long chain-like necklaces, oversized rings etc.

How about things like these?

Just an idea. I know a load of people who use jewellry stands.

I have a little cute garden gnome hold out her skirt that I keep all my rings in.
I keep chains in a nice box.
I keep my bracelets that I don't normally wear (I have four that I wear almost all the time that I take off to shower/sleep/special, nice occasions) in another box.
As for big stuff, I have something that kinda looks like this, but with more twists and it is purple.

I just wanted to say, unless that thing fits on top of a dresser or little tabletop, you must have a lot of jewelry.

Haha, no, it's a piece of furniture that's stood against a wall. I wouldn't say I have a lot of jewelry, but maybe that's because I don't *wear* a lot of jewelry. The idea, when given one of these by a family member, is that you'll keep it as you get older and fill it up.

One of the drawers I use for medications and stuff. One is nearly empty except for bangle bracelets. And the other two are partitioned for earrings and such. A lot of my jewelry is costume, which is why I wouldn't say I have a lot. It's not filled with $100+ pieces, although there are a few expensive things in there.

For earrings and stuff in those Ferraro Rocher boxes and I use all those big empty chocolate boxes for chunky jewelry and chains! Works like a charm! And I'm recycling! Lol.

I keep my nicer expensive jewellery in the boxes they came in to keep them safe and separate.
I have a jewellery box for stuff I am not as fussed about it is like this and the chunkier jewellery fits in the draws and earrings and rings go in the top part.

i need to get my jewellery organised. i don't really keep it in anything, it's just all over the place. i'm thinking of having it in a drawer and buy those separate compartment things to keep it organised. also my mum has one of those mannequins that i'm gunna steal and put some of my necklaces and bracelets on.

For long chains and heavy beads I just hang them wherever I have space...anything else gets slung on the floor, my desk, under the bed...I stack my bangles onto my DAB ariel lol....prolly why I get no signal

If it's my actual jewellery, it goes into various boxes - usually the ones it came in. My expensive stuff gets stuffed in a tiny box and lost in the mess

I have one like Jessie's.
Its about four feet with eight draws and two doors that open up that I put my necklaces on and its fantastic for the jewelery your talking about. Mine even has a mirror that props up or you can lay the mirror flat and just have a flat surface. I have tons of jewelery.

I use a small bulletin board and tacks to hang up my necklaces.
My earrings and bracelets (I have a LOT of both) take up three boxes and these little magazine bowls I made.
My bigger costume-y jewelry just goes in a medium-sized heart-shaped box my sister gave me a long time ago.

Necklaces hang on the corners of my mirror. I sewed loads of beads to some fabric so I can put my dangly earrings through the beads and they hang there nicely. Studs stay in a little box on the side. Bracelets all pile into a small jeweller box and I dont take my ring off.

I have so much jewelry... I have a jewelry box for the bracelets, smaller necklaces and broaches or nicer hair accessories... it's similar to Asylum's but it's smaller and is on a shelf. I have a small glass cup thing for rings. As for chunky necklaces... one of my stuffed pones gets to wear them when I'm not It's a horse from Build a Bear. I keep my watch and diamond jewelry on my dresser.

Expensive jewellery stays in its box in a draw.

I have one of those standing up women for necklaces but its really annoying because lots of my necklaces are quite long, longer than the height of the woman.

I have an earing stand for my earings.
something like this but it's actually vaguely nice haha

I need a new earing stand, and new ideas for storing necklaces!! At Uni for my earings I might just hang up a bit of ribbon and hang them off that but no idea for long necklaces

Oh and I have a box of bangles.
