self conscious about somewhat bushy eyebrows?

Hi,

I have a problem. I don't really like my eyebrows, I think they are really bushy. I'm really self conscious about them, I kind of look like a hairy monster. -_- I'm a really light skinned person, so you can see every little hair on my face. It's terrible. It kinda ruins my face, I guess. I look stupid.

My family makes fun of them, saying I need to get them done. I want to, but I'm scared of what everyone would think of me. Do you think anyone would notice? People say when you get your eyebrows done you should make them look natural, to seem like they've been there. Idk, I'm scared. What if I don't like it?

My sisters have messed with my eyebrows before, waxing them, but they looked weird. They grew out though, now it just looks bushy...

I know it's kinda embarrassing, but I kinda cry about them.

I don't want to get them professionally done, I'm scared they might mess them up. I've been kind of getting tired of them. If that's the only way to get rid of the bushiness, I'll do it during the Summer. My hair is bushy and thick too, so I look kinda messy all around. I don't my eyebrows too thick or too thin. -_-

Hey!! I actually think you have a really lovely sweet face, you're not ugly at all. And to be honest your eyebrows didn't seem amazingly bushy to me either. I have dark hair and eyebrows as well so I know that brunettes have more noticeable eyebrows which can look a bit bushy. But you really shouldn't be letting it get you down so much
I started plucking my eyebrows when I was thirteen, although it took me a few years to perfect the art if you want to try that yourself there's loads of videos on youtube and helpful websites. However, it's genreally advised that you get them professionally done the first time round. Why do you feel that professionals would mess them up?? They've been trained to do this kind of job on a regular basis and if you tell them you don't want to be left with eyebrows that are too thin or still too bushy or whatever they can try to suit your wishes. And even if they do mess up, eyebrows do grow back in a matter of a week or so!! I think it's at least worth a try. Just ignore your family though, they probably wouldn't be saying those things to tease you if they knew it got to you so much.xx

You have such a cute face, sweetie! It makes me sad that your eyebrows upset you that much

But I understand, I used to hate my eyebrows. I started plucking them a couple years ago, and you get good at it after awhile. I do suggest going to a professional for the first time. If you're that worried that they'll mess up, tell them exactly how you want it. Then, when they start to grow back in, you can pluck them yourself (which I recommend doing after you shower, doesn't hurt nearly as much)

There are tons of videos on youtube with tutorials for eyebrow plucking. Good luck!

I don't think your eyebrows look that bad!
But if you do get them professionally done they won't screw up.
They know how to wax them to shape your eye arch etc.
So just get them waxed professionally.
And they will know what they are doing.
But really I don't think they look that bad.

I think your eyebrows look quite fine. The only thing I'd way is that they could use some shaping to define them and soften up your face a bit. If you have an Ulta in your area, a lot of them have Brow Bars where you can pretty much just walk in at any time and get your eyebrows done. You can tell them if you literally want as little off as possible or if you want them to do what they think would look best for you. Pretty much, get them done professionally because otherwise you could run into some issues.

Hey i think you are so cute, your face is so sweet. honestly your eyebrows are fine. I know what you mean int he sense of worrying they stand out, they dont lol but brunettes do have darker eyebrows. You could try shaving/plucking/waxing them from home. or some professional shaping to start off would help. this will define your eyebrwos and give you guidelines to follow for if you want to do it again at home. dont worry xxx <3 love pixie <3

Thank you guys. I'm hoping to gain the confidence to actually do it during the Summer. My friends will look at me differently, but I'm trying not to care what they think because this is my decision for myself. And if I do go through with this, I know my family will just say, 'Ohh you look so nice now. You don't look ugly anymore!' I'll try and ignore it...I'll try.
