Lacy black skirt. -

So I bought a skirt a few weeks back, it looks a lot like this:
 But I'm not entirely sure what kind of shirt I should wear with it. Any ideas? If life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten. And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing. -♪♪♪- Always look on the bright side of life.  |

The great thing about black is it can work with any color. You could really wear any kind of top and it would look okay, except maybe black ahah.
I agree that white would look the prettiest

A white top for a casual look, but a red or an emerald green for a more smart one.

Another great color that goes with black, is blue. A light blue is nice for more relaxed stuff, and a darker blue for more serious stuff.

I think it depends on if you're trying to look flirty, casual, dressy, etc.
I would personally wear it with a long sleeve shirt and some leggings and flats. But that is one of those skirts that can go with anything. :]  I was looking for a breath of life For a little touch of heavenly light But all the choirs in my head say, no oh oh |

Something that clings to your body so that it thins your frame, and contrasts well with the volume of the skirt, as well as something that's not too detailed to where it would take away from the skirt being the centerpiece. As for shoes, you could dress it up by wearing some heels, or you could play it casual with flats or a nice pair of black flip-flops.
