Holiday time....bikinis and tans??? - May 30th 2011, 10:24 PM

So I've just booked a week in Turkey. I've never been anywhere that hot before, unless you count Yosemite in July which was scorching!

What do I buy? Sun dresses? Oversized sunglasses? Where can I find some nice, cheapish, stylish swimsuits? I'm really self conscious and I'm weird about my stomach...If its a structured bikini I can cope, or a tankini...

And how do I make sure I look all gorgeous and holiday ready? Right now, legs = white as chalk. I don't do sunbeds...and I have that holiday skin lotion with a hint of tan...but I can't seem to avoid tide marks...

I'm too excited to think!!!! EEEEEEEK!

HELP! I need a packing list.....

Just a hop, skip and a jump.

Hey,

First off all, light, flowy sundresses are a MUST. Click here for some great sundresses.

Second, you need sunglasses that fit you face. Click here and here for guides.

Third, for swimsuits, click here and here.

You can start developing a base tan today. Lay out for about twenty minutes on each side to get just a bit of color. That typically works. Make sure you are using a sunscreen with at least 30SPF. Before you go to Turkey, (as in the day before) go get a spray tan. Throughout the week, you will get tanner as you are in Turkey.

Click here to make your own packing list based on where you are going.

I'd check my location We seem to be lacking tan-creating weather at the moment

But thanks for the links. I might just have to buy a tanning lotion aimed at super pale skin and work my way up....

Your welcome. Remember that you can always go for a spray tan since that is super quick and easy.
