Use cold water when removing stains- hot water will set them in. Try soaking it in laundry detergent and then putting them through the wash once.
Further instructions can be found here. |

Rinse the stain in cold water, scrub plain table salt into the blood stain -- the stain fades as you do it -- then put it in the wash. Works on my white comforter all the time, don't know about colored clothes though.

I usually soak the clothes with blood in cold water for a few hours as a bit of a pre-wash. I'll then drain out any of that water and put it some fresh cold water and OxiClean. I usually put in a little more OxiClean than will actually dissolve so there are still some "grains" to scrub with. I scrub the stain with these undissolved grains of OxiClean and then leave it to sit for an hour or two. If the stain is still there, I'll drain the water, put in fresh water, and put in more OxiClean and repeat. If the stain is gone, I'll rinse the clothes so there isn't any OxiClean residue left in it and I'll usually throw it in the wash for a cycle, though it's not really necessary if the stain is already gone. The most important thing is to not let the stain dry until it's out.
"Love me for me, accept the fact I'm true, live like I want, fufill my dreams, Dream of me, run out free, capture your words and never let them go." I'll see you on the other side. |
