Skirts with bare legs - July 5th 2011, 10:42 AM

Would you say bare legs are ok if you are only semi-tanned? I don't want to risk fake tan because a)I can't afford a proffesional so b) I will end up like a smudgey orange.

But as long as the slight brown is even I should be ok right? The sun also makes me look more tan than indoors.

I also have a scar on my thigh from tissue collecting during surgery. But only a little shows with my skirts and dresses.

It's just too damn hot to wear skin colour tights :/ x

I'm pale as and I still wear skirts/dresses/shorts etc etc without tights when it's hot. As long as you're comfortable shouldn't matter if others care

I don't think you need to be tanned to wear skirts or dresses. If you're pale or only slightly tanned, so what? As long as you're comfortable, wear what you want to wear.

I'm not tanned at all but I still wear skirts and dresses and look fine and get told I look good, so I don't see why you would need a tan to look good.

I'm pale as a milk bottle and I'm going to a wedding in 2 weeks, I've got a long(ish) purple dress to wear, and I was considering fake tan but no, I'm too proud of my pale-nessness

A lot of people actually prefer when your pale. Sometimes tans just look fake and orange. I personally love being pale

I agree with everyone else who has said that if you're comfortable then go for it. You shouldn't limit yourself because some people think that you can only wear a skirt with bare legs if you're super tanned.

Yep. Pale girls are nommable, and should feel free to show as much skin as they like.

I think that's completely fine to wear skirts or dresses with bear legs.

It doesn't really matter if you're tan or pale, or anything.

I'm pale and I wear skirts and dresses all the time.

I remember once, I put my face bronzer on my legs to make them look tan... And it worked really well.. But it was probably a waste of make-up. Haha.

I might be crazy.
But have I told you lately that I love you?
You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly.

I'm not very tan and I rocked a mini-dress last weekend.
Don't worry about the fact that you are pale.

GO FOR IT!
I'm fed up of girls at my school wearing tights in boiling weather and then complaining about how warm they are.
Get them legs out and be confident in yourself

I'm semi-tanned too. You do not need to worry about not being tan enough. It's perfectly fine. And about your scar, if you're comfortable with it, then it doesnt matter, right?

Pale just means you're less likely to get skin cancer than a lot of other people :P I'm not the tannest person alive and I wear whatever I want.

"'Colie, you should never be surprised when people treat you with respect. You should expect it.'
I shook my head. 'You don't know--' I began. But, as usual, she didn't let me finish.
'Yes,' she said simply, 'I do know. I've watched you, Colie. You walk around like a dog waiting to be kicked. And when someone does, you pout and cry like you didn't deserve it.'
'No one deserves to be kicked,' I said.
'I disagree,' she said flatly. 'You do if you don't think you're worth any better...'"
