I probably should because I'm suuuper white. But skin cancer runs in my family, and I don't really want to raise the risks for me. I might be crazy. But have I told you lately that I love you? You're the only reason that I'm not afraid to fly. <3 |

I'm pale and it takes me a while to actually GET a tan and it doesn't last long, and while skin cancer doesn't run in my family, I'm really scared that I'll get it, so I don't tan. Not to mention it's doing some form of precipitation like all year here. :P

I'm half Italian though my other half which is English, Polish, Irish and Dutch shows with my skin complexion.
 So no, I don't purposely go out and tan.

No, I don't tan. My mother has had skin cancer removed multiple times, so I have no desire to tan.

I don't go tanning. I don't have the will, time, or patience to just lay in the sun long enough to get one. And like others have said, I don't want to raise the risks of skin cancer just to look a certain way for a little while.

I don't tan. I'm pale and proud.
 I've been burnt from head to toe and tanned for a short amount of time on my shoulders. But because of the burns, I now have permanent damage to my skin. (sun spots) With that, I'm petrified of getting skin cancer so I don't purposely sit in the sun to tan. I also do not do tanning beds or anything of that sort.

I would like to tan.. it just never works... I stay pale year round even without sunscreen. Unless I burn, then when the skin peals I'm still just a pale if not more.

In the summer, I go out in the sun to tan. But that's the only time it's sunny here (it rains the rest of the year
 ). I don't do tanning beds though.

Whenever I go to the beach but I don't go to a tanning bed or anything. I do admit to have bought some tanning oils to help a little bit at the beach.

I don't have the patience to tan. & Besides, I'm soo white. If I don't sunscreen, I burn, but if I use sunscreen, I don't tan. So either way sucks. I don't make it a priority to tan, but it's nice to get sun. I like the sun more for the fact that my hair gets light very easily. I've been in school for almost three weeks, barely went outside all summer, & now my hair is really, REALLY blonde with highlights. Getting close to white hair.

I'm gonna be the odd one out and say that I loooove tanning. I mean, I'm gonna die anyway. But I tan really easily, too, so it happens even if I don't try.

I don't tan on purpose, like go to tanning beds or sit out and tan but i do get tan easily, being that I"m 1/4 native I'm already pretty dark so I really dont have a reason to get more tan than I already am, even in the winter I look like I have a tan :P

I don't purposely sit outside just to get a tan. If I'm swimming in a pool or at the beach, then yeah sure, I'll be tan after a few days of mild sunburn. But, skin cancer runs in my family, so purposely tanning without wearing sun block would pose super high risks for me, risks I'm not willing to take.

I don't usually tan I burn, lol. I went to Florida in May tho, and I was so afraid of burning...last time I went I was like a lobster...that I went tanning for like a month and a half before hand. I accually liked it, but its not something I would do all the time, cause its not that great for you.

I don't tan, I just go red and burn. However, I do tan a little bit in the summer, not enough to say "Yes, I do tan." though. I use sunscreen when I do go out though, I don't want to risk anything.

I used to when I went on holiday and stuff. I would use sun cream but being young I would occasionally be stupid an burn.
Now if the weather is nice (not often being in England) I will sit in the garden and read and get a bit of a tan but I use sun cream. Usually I go pink and then back to pale so I don't usually get a tan unless I am abroad. I haven't been on holiday in about 3 years but if I did I would use sun cream and regularly go in the shade. I am very pale because I am blonde so I burn easily but I definitely wouldn't let myself burn anymore. I have never been on the sun beds (tanning beds) in my life. My uncle passed away in April due to skin cancer and he had never left England so I am now a lot more careful in the sun. I also have a few moles on my back which I am also being careful with and I will always put a higher factor of sun cream on them and my doctor checks them once a year. So really my answer isn't no but it isn't yes. It is more of an "occasionally but carefully". |

Compared to other people I'm really pale but I have tan lines so I'm happy! I tend to tan quickly but then I reach my maximun 'tanning stage' and just stay the lovely brown-yellow-white that my skin seems to love so much!
I even heard your mamma wanted some of this...

No I don't. I like being pale...and if I did ever sit in the sun, I'd go straight to red and skip over tan.
Plus now, after an accident, if my scars get hit by a lot of sun, I increase the risk of skin cancer. |
