Acne - October 27th 2011, 11:45 AM

Somewhere i have read that excess of washing face can cause acne problem.. is it true...??Do you think same..??

I believe it is true. To avoid excess wash, I wash my face in the morning & at night, but throughout the day I just use water to clean my face if I feel it's oily or such.

For Me I hard;y wash my face at all And I have no acne! I never get acne but maybe that's just how my skin is.

Yes, excessive washing can cause acne. When you over wash your face, you're taking natural oils off of your skin and your skin becomes dry and to compensate for that your skin creates a lot of oil which can clog pores, thus causing acne.

I wash my face too often you could say, but I do replace the 'oils' with other cream, so I avoid further provoking my acne.

This pretty much sums it up. Wash your face in the morning and at night and apply cream that suits your skin type.

It is true, washing your face more than twice a day can strip the natural oils your face produces. This causes your face to make excess oil which clogs your pores, as said before. Just wash your face at night to take off your makeup and in the morning before putting your makeup on
